"MY PERFECT CIRCLE"

The conceptualization n visualization of my water idea :)

          We normally see water and ice in our everyday life. I want to communicate with water through my work by showing other ways of things that we usually see it daily in other part that we might have not seen it before. Maybe it has many interesting parts that are hidden and waited for the one who will find and show it to others. I want to show that water and ice have many things more than you think. People might not know that ice can create nice models which are very special and can’t be made by other kind of materials. Also you can have fun with the melting ice too.

          My content is to make a little transparent mold by the shape of the ice. The shape and the form of the ice will appear by the melting rates. I will control the melting rates of the ice by myself and choose the form that is nice to develop the mold. As a matter of fact, ice can dissolve itself very quickly and we can’t see the form that we like, I will make the ice stay longer by making an ice mold, glaze the ice by using some stuffs such as nails-painting, candle, chocolate, etc. , when its form  interests me, or anyone. If you use other kinds of material, then the outcome will be completely different than using the ice.

          The specific idea is to capture the form of the ice at that moment by using some help from other materials. Because ice can’t stay in shape or form that we want all the time, I will make an ice mold that can stay with us constantly. By using my own design iced mold, it will have a unique shape and form of its own.

The Development of my water n ice ideas :)

          My development idea is to combine a little ice sculpture and waxes together. So, I will have a nice shape of the ice that is glazed and later being like a model when the ice melts. I started to explore more shape of the ice and I think more about the material that I can use it to glaze the ice.
          I have been controlling the ice melting by to let it touch the heat in another point. Then I got many shapes of the ice that are really nice and it looks so similar with many objects.

It's all started from this shape. :)

These are the point that the ice got touch the heat by the metal chop stick. Three of them are the old one from last updated.

          Glazed the ice by the nails-painting and the candle can keep the ice the way it used to be! also you will get some colorful molds. :)

          After I glazed the ice by nails-painting and some candle’s water then it was dry out slowly so that I questioned myself, what are the other things that can melt and dry out slowly if it met with the ice? The answer that came suddenly was the chocolate! So, I tried to make a new molds of the ice by some of the chocolate. It would be appetizing for sure! ;q

Pour the chocolate onto the ice cube with out any dacorated.

          This was the first one that i tried to make the ice glazed by some chocolate :q I made it by using the cube of heart ice and pour the chocolate on it, later the ice melts, you can see the heart inside of the chocolate. It was like a secret heart chocolate :)

          And later, I tried to make a nice glazed onto the ice cube.

Pour the chocolate onto the ice very carefully.

The ice will melts slowly.

Later the ice was gone, the chocolate molds would come!

'ICE SCULPTURE'

          Another thing that is interesting to play with the water was the transformer of it, from ice to water or water to ice. If you didn’t keep the ice in the freezer, it will melt slowly by itself with nothing interesting. Then I think of an idea to make it more interesting by controlling them, control the melting ice by myself. So that I will see another shape of it before it turns to water. That’s so exiting!

          These are 3 different ideas about to control the ice, heat it on the top, in the middle and at the bottom. I control it by the use of the heater, by a metal chopstick that has already kept the heat from a candle or a stove. Then took photos in every 5 minutes, the out come were in the pictures that you can see above. You couldn’t have these shapes of ice if you didn’t control it by yourself.

'ICE with CANDLE
and NAILs-PAINTING'

          When the nails-painting touch the ice, it will dry out slowly. The nails-painting will be like a glaze of the ice. If you want to make it stand by itself when the ice melts, you have to put the candle’s water (by fired the candles) on it. Later the ice melts, you will have a little model from the ice’s shape. The idea is to create a little model by the ice which is a see-through model. You couldn’t create these kinds of model if you didn’t use the ice.

          There have many patterns that are interested but if the patterns that you see were created by the ice, it would be more unique. The ice won’t melt as the same in every time so that you can have that pattern only once!
